My first project in the year of the Ox! Designed, machine quilted and hand sewed all by me, using a cotton linen blend fabric that I bought at the Daimaru in Osaka. The lining fabric was picked at the Toronto Needlework Festival last year. The beautiful trim was from Mokuba.
I was back from my vacation on Jan. 12.

Hometown, Kaiping: These buildings are called Diaolou. There are over 1800 diaolous in my hometown and they are the only World Heritage Site in the Guangdong Province so far.

Goodies I got in Japan? Actually, not a lot. I joined a guided tour in Hong Kong to Japan. Time was tight. But I still managed to visit Okadaya in Tokyo and the craft department at Daimalu in Osaka.
I got some books and fabrics. 
Now all I need is to get rid of my laziness and start projects NOW!
